Turkey: JinkoSolar to supply 50 MW of PV panels to Tegnatia

A joint venture between Turkey’s T Dinamik and Egnatia Group in Greece, Tegnatia has become a leading solar EPC service provider in Europe.

JinkoSolar has agreed to supply 50 MW of solar PV panels to Tegnatia, one of Turkey's leading renewable energy developers.

According to the deal signed by the two companies, JinkoSolar will deliver the 50 MW of modules in several shipments bound for projects across Turkey.

Tegnatia, which is as a joint venture between Turkey's T Dinamik and Greece's Egnatia Group, has become a leading solar EPC service provider in Europe. Greece's Egnatia Group has more than 300 MW of solar installations in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and the U.K.

Frank Niendorf, JinkoSolar's European sales director, said the deal made JinkoSolar the “leading module supplier” in Turkey and added that the group would identify and engage similarly strategic opportunities in the coming months as it seeks to increase its market share in the country.

JinkoSolar’s latest agreement in Turkey follows increased activity abroad as well as at home. Last week the company signed a 1 GW module supply deal with China Minsheng New Energy (CMNE), a subsidiary of China Minsheng Investment Corp. The modules will be used to develop PV power plant projects in China in 2015 and 2016.
